Botanical name: Aloe vera
Aloe is a succulent plant that grows year-round and is resistant to drought. The name aloe comes from the Arabic word alloeh or the Hebrew word halal meaning bitter shiny. Aloe vera plays an important role in traditional Indian medicine systems such as Ayurveda, Siddha, Unani and Homoeopathy.

Aloe helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and actively repairs the damaged skin cells responsible for the signs of aging. Aloe is a strong detoxifier, an antiseptic and a tonic for the nerves. It also has immunosuppressive and antiviral properties.
