Joint ill usually occurs in foals, although it may occur in horses of any age. It is more commonly referred to as infective arthritis and is an infection of the joint that occurs most commonly in foals, particularly those who fail to receive colostrum. Joint ill begins when bacteria enter the bloodstream and invade the bone or synovial membranes of the joint.
The disease is characterized by severe lameness with heat, swelling and pain. Joint Ill needs to be treated speedily to minimise further damage to the joint.
This mix quickly removes bacteria and inflammation as well as supporting normal healing and strengthening the cells of the bones and ligaments of the joint.
