Botanical name: Rubus idaeus
Rubus idaeus, which translates to "bramble of Ida" in Latin, is named from the ripe berries that are rumoured to have been collected by the Greek Olympian Gods near Mount Ida.
These leaves have been used for thousands of years by Native American and European women to prepare the womb for childbirth. Some farmers even use it for their pregnant lady goats.
Women who are pregnant or have recently given birth have traditionally utilised raspberry leaf as a treatment.
n addition to being an excellent uterine stimulant, raspberry leaves have astringent properties that make them beneficial for wounds, sore throats, mouth ulcers, and diarrhoea. They have been used as a purifying diuretic in rheumatism treatments.
